Armor Treatment Services for Bed Bug Infestation
Inspecting and identifying
• Armor Pest Control technicians will go to the location where a home or business owner thinks there may be bedbugs and inspect for signs. We service the greater Cincinnati Ohio area including Southeast Indiana and Northern Kentucky.
• They will request samples that the customer may have that suggest an infestation: for instance, signs of “resting areas” where bed bugs may be, and they will look for live insects, their fecal material, skin shedding, and blood spots& eggs.
• The technicians will then look at the most likely locations for bed bugs, such as night stands and tables, electrical outlets, mattresses and headboards.
Determine origin of the bed bugs
• If bed bugs are identified, the Armor Pest Control technician will try to determine where the bed bugs came from to help prevent future infestation.
The Armor Pest Control technician will inform the customer of the best bed bug treatment program to implement and convey information on the best treatment approach.
• Treatment involves the application of liquid, powdered and foamed insecticides. Two to three applications at two to three week intervals are usually required depending on the severity of the infestation. It may be necessary to remove utility and outlet covers to reach bed bugs located behind the walls or along electrical wiring. Beds will need to be disassembled, dressers must be emptied and the drawers removed and furniture must be taken apart as much as possible. Bedding and clothes must be washed and dried on the high setting for at least 45 minutes.
At the customer’s request, service will be scheduled and the customer will receive instructions needed to prepare the structure for treatment, such as insuring the safety of children and pets.
